Teletherapy

We offer secure Web-based Video Counseling Services for Individuals, Couples and Families .

With teletherapy, all you need is a device capable of connecting to the Internet. This form of counseling is a great option for busy individuals and those that may be self-conscious about speaking with someone in-person.

In-Person Counseling

[ Currently only offering Teletherapy ]

For those that live in Northern Virginia (and surrounding areas), we also offer traditional In-Person Counseling.

During these sessions, one of our trainers (counselors) meets with an Individual, Couple or Family to develop strategies for managing issues such as Anxiety, Stress, Family/Relationship Issues and Substance Abuse .

Who can benefit from working with a Therapist?

Anyone! Just as you would work with a personal trainer to improve your physical strength, flexibility and endurance, working with a trained therapist helps you accomplish similar results that improve your emotional strength.

Research shows that stress and unresolved emotional injuries often contribute to chronic illnesses like hypertension, diabetes, muscle tension and headaches. So working with a therapist can often have secondary health and physical benefits.

How does it work?

We offer convenient, confidential Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)-compliant Web-based counseling that can occur in the privacy of your own home or from anywhere you have a device (smartphone, tablet, or computer) with an Internet connection.

In addition to individual counseling, we also offer couple and family counseling. All parties can simultaneously connect to the same training session from anywhere they have an Internet connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be speaking to a real therapist?

Yes, every session is conducted by either a licensed (or license eligible) therapist.

Does everything we discuss remain private?

Unless, there is imminent risk to an indivdidual or abuse/neglect of a child, elderly or disabled person, any information discussed during a session (or associated with a client) is kept in strict confidence according to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

How much are your services?

Individual "strength training" is $125 per 45 minute session and couple "strength training" is $150 per 60 minute session. There is no long-term commitment or contract to remain in treatment or complete a required number of sessions.

Do you accept insurance?

YES! We are currently accepting Anthem BlueCross BlueShield and Anthem Healthkeepers insurance at this time, but we are actively working to establish relationships with several major insurers, such as Aetna and Humana/Tricare. Please check back later for updates.

How are online therapy sessions conducted?

Online therapy sessions are conducted between a therapist and client. Clients check into a (secured) "waiting room" before the session begins and the therapist will retrieve the client from the "virtual lobby" to begin the session.

For couple and family counseling sessions, do we all have to be in the same place?

No. The software we use for video conferencing allows participants to join the session from any location where they have an Internet connection.

Meet your Primary Trainer.

Natasha became a therapist because she's always had a genuine concern for others and noticed that many people who might benefit from emotional or mental health support never sought it because of the stereotypes and stigmas that some people associate with therapy.

After over 12 years as a therapist, Natasha has come to understand that although negative life experiences can weaken a person emotionally, they can also create opportunities to build resilience to life's challenges. During her career, hundreds of clients have benefited from Natasha's unique conversational approach to therapy. Her friendly personality and genuine concern tend to make sessions feel less like therapy and more like great advice from an extremely knowledgeable friend.

As someone who successfully juggles her career, a 20+ year marriage and being a mother of teenagers, Natasha brings a wealth of first-hand knowledge to every session.

Additionally, after 13 years as an Army spouse, she understands the unique challenges that affect military families. Issues such as: being geographically isolated from family support systems, frustration with finding career opportunities in a new duty station, and coping with parenting alone during deployments are all topics she can relate to.

By using the tools she's attained through both her formal education and personal life experiences, Natasha proves to be the perfect therapist for helpling individuals, couples and families build their emotional strength!
